By using compoundfork.com ("Compoundfork," "the project," "we") you agree to these terms. Compoundfork is a project operated by an individual. It is not an incorporated business, and this page does not name a corporation because there isn't one. The person operating the project can be reached at hello@compoundfork.com. Most of the site works without an account and without a purchase. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
Compoundfork is an illustrative projection tool. It takes numbers you enter and runs them through planning formulas — marginal tax brackets, mortgage amortization, compound growth, RRIF withdrawal patterns, and similar — and shows where those numbers land under the assumptions you set.
Using the site does not make you a client of the person operating it. It does not create a financial-planning, tax, legal, or advisory engagement. A projection on this site is not personalized financial, investment, tax, legal, or estate advice. It is not a substitute for a licensed financial planner, an accountant, or a lawyer who knows your actual situation. It is not a tax return, a mortgage commitment, or an offer to sell an investment, a policy, or a loan. It is not a promise about what your money will do.
Every projection is built on assumptions you choose — growth rates, inflation, tax rates — and on general rules that can miss your credits, deductions, and province. A lender, the Canada Revenue Agency, or a court can use different figures than this tool. Filing a return, signing a mortgage, and drafting a legal document stay outside this site. Take a real decision to a professional who can ask the questions this tool cannot.
We work to keep the tax brackets, contribution limits, and rules used throughout Compoundfork current and correctly sourced — but tax law, contribution limits, and government program rules change, sometimes with little notice. We don't guarantee that every figure is current at the exact moment you're using it, and we don't guarantee the tool is free of calculation errors, despite real effort to test and verify the math.
The tool can only work with what you give it. The accuracy of any projection depends entirely on the accuracy of what you enter — your real balances, your real income, your real assumptions. Verifying that your own inputs are correct, and deciding what to actually do with the output, is on you.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Compoundfork project and the person operating it are not liable for any loss, damage, or decision made from using this tool — including a decision about buying property, investing, retirement timing, borrowing, or any other choice modeled here. This applies whether the claim is based on a calculation error, an outdated rule, a misunderstanding of the output, or any other cause connected to using the site. Some jurisdictions do not allow every limit of liability. Where a limit is not allowed, it applies only as far as the law permits.
Compoundfork is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind — including no guarantee of uptime, availability, or that the site will be free of bugs. Features may change, be added, or be removed at any time.
The code, design, articles, and the Compoundfork name and logo belong to the person operating the project. You may link to the site. Reproducing, redistributing, or reselling the tool, its articles, or its code needs permission from hello@compoundfork.com.
Compoundfork isn't directed at children and isn't designed for use by anyone under 18, consistent with our Privacy Policy.
How information is collected, stored, and deleted is in the Privacy Policy, which these terms include by reference. One point worth repeating: if you use "Help with this page," the question and a stripped household picture leave your browser, as that policy describes. Signing in is optional. The project can suspend or remove the site, or any part of it, at any time, because it is a project and not a contracted service.
If these terms change in a way that matters, the date at the top of this page will update. Continuing to use Compoundfork after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable within it, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
