Agreeing to these terms
By using compoundfork.com ("Compoundfork," "we," "us"), currently operated by [your legal name] as an individual, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, the only real request we can make is that you not use the site — there's no account or purchase required to use most of it, so there's nothing else to undo.
What Compoundfork is — and isn't
Compoundfork is an illustrative financial modeling tool. It takes numbers you enter and runs them through real formulas — tax brackets, mortgage amortization, compound growth, RRIF withdrawal rules, and similar — to show you what those numbers project to under the assumptions you've set.
It is not, and has never claimed to be:
- Personalized financial, investment, tax, legal, or estate planning advice
- A substitute for a licensed financial planner, accountant, or lawyer who knows your actual, complete situation
- A guarantee, prediction, or promise about your actual future financial outcome
Every projection is built on assumptions you choose — growth rates, inflation, tax rates — and on general rules that apply broadly but may not capture your specific circumstances, credits, deductions, or provincial/state variations. Real financial decisions deserve a real professional who can ask you questions this tool can't.
No guarantee of accuracy
We work to keep the tax brackets, contribution limits, and rules used throughout Compoundfork current and correctly sourced — but tax law, contribution limits, and government program rules change, sometimes with little notice. We don't guarantee that every figure is current at the exact moment you're using it, and we don't guarantee the tool is free of calculation errors, despite real effort to test and verify the math.
Your responsibility
The tool can only work with what you give it. The accuracy of any projection depends entirely on the accuracy of what you enter — your real balances, your real income, your real assumptions. Verifying that your own inputs are correct, and deciding what to actually do with the output, is on you.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Compoundfork and [your legal name] are not liable for any financial loss, damage, or decision made based on using this tool — including decisions about buying property, investing, retirement timing, or any other financial choice modeled here. This applies whether the claim is based on a calculation error, an outdated rule, a misunderstanding of the output, or any other cause connected to using the site.
No warranty
Compoundfork is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind — including no guarantee of uptime, availability, or that the site will be free of bugs. Features may change, be added, or be removed at any time.
Intellectual property
The code, design, article content, and Compoundfork name and logo belong to [your legal name]. You're welcome to link to the site or reference it, but reproducing, redistributing, or reselling the tool, its content, or its underlying code without permission isn't allowed.
Age requirement
Compoundfork isn't directed at children and isn't designed for use by anyone under 18, consistent with our Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms
If these terms change in a way that matters, the date at the top of this page will update. Continuing to use Compoundfork after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable within it, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
