Compoundfork is a project, not an incorporated business. This page describes what the site actually does with information today. It is written in plain language by the project. It is not a lawyer's opinion, and it does not claim to be a formal privacy program under every provincial statute.

Who this policy covers, and who's accountable

This policy covers compoundfork.com ("Compoundfork," "the project," "we"). Compoundfork is an illustrative projection tool and a personal project. It is not an incorporated company, and it has no corporate legal name. Where this page says "we," it means the person operating the project.

That person is accountable for personal information the project holds. Privacy questions, correction requests, and deletion requests go to hello@compoundfork.com.

What we collect

You can use the calculators and read the articles without an account. The household model can run entirely in your browser. A few things do leave the device, and they are listed here.

The household picture you type in. Account labels, balances, debts, income, expenses, an age if you enter one, goals, and the decisions you switch on. If you do not sign in, this stays in this browser's local storage. If you sign in, a copy is saved to your account so you can open it on another device. The labels are whatever you type. The site does not ask for your legal name, home address, phone number, date of birth, or a government ID, and it does not ask for a bank account number or an institution login.

Calculator pages. A mortgage, tax-bracket, or other calculator keeps what you type on that page. Those entries are not written into the household account. A PDF you download is built in the browser and saved on your device.

Your email address, only if you choose to sign in. It is used to send a one-time sign-in link and to identify the saved account. It is not used for a mailing list, and it is not sold.

Help with this page, only if you press that button on the household page and send a question. The question, and a stripped picture of the household, go to the project's server and then to xAI so a reply can be written. The picture is totals, account categories and amounts, goal amounts, whether three decisions are switched on, which page you are on, and a few published 2026 figures. It does not include the labels you typed. The reply explains the page. It is not advice. The project does not keep its own database of those questions and does not use them to train a model of its own. The host and xAI keep their ordinary logs. The server also sees an IP address long enough to refuse a flood of requests.

Visit measurement. Pages load Vercel Web Analytics. Vercel describes that measurement as the page address, referrer, browser, device, and a coarse location, tied to a short-lived hash that it discards after 24 hours, without a third-party advertising cookie. The dollar figures you type are not part of that measurement. The host also keeps ordinary request logs, which can include an IP address, to serve the site and to resist abuse.

The sign-in check. If you ask for a sign-in link, a Cloudflare Turnstile check runs in the browser before the link is sent.

Fonts and code libraries. Typefaces load from Google Fonts. The sign-in library loads from jsDelivr. The PDF library loads from cdnjs. Those requests fetch fonts and code. The numbers you type are not uploaded to those services.

A paper-toss page on the site can store a score in this browser. If you are already signed in, that score can be saved on the same account. It is separate from the projection.

The project does not sell personal information and does not run ads.

Why we collect it

To show the projection you asked for, to keep a copy if you sign in, to send a sign-in link if you ask for one, to answer a help question if you send one, and to see which pages are used. The project does not build an advertising profile from it.

How it's stored, and who can access it

If you don't sign in, the household picture lives in this browser. It is not uploaded as an account.

If you sign in, that picture is stored with Supabase. Supabase encrypts data at rest and in transit. Row Level Security on the database is what limits each account to its own rows.

The limit of that, stated plainly: the person operating the project can open stored rows through Supabase's administrative tools, the same way anyone who runs a database can. That access is reserved for a reported problem or a legal obligation.

A help question is not saved into the household account. It is sent to produce the reply, as described above.

Your rights — access, correction, deletion

On the household page, without writing in first:

A few things that button does not clear. Write to hello@compoundfork.com and they will be removed by hand:

The corporations page keeps its own save in this browser. The household delete button does not clear it. Clearing site data for compoundfork.com does. A theme choice, and a flag that you have already seen the intro, can also remain in this browser. Those are not financial figures.

Third parties involved in running this site

Household figures are sent to Supabase only if you sign in, and to xAI only if you use Help, in the stripped form described above. They are not sent to the font or library hosts as something you submitted.

If something goes wrong

If personal information in the project's care is involved in a breach that Canadian privacy law requires to be reported, the project will notify the people affected and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, and will keep the record that law requires. If you think something has gone wrong with your data, write to hello@compoundfork.com.

Children

Compoundfork is not directed at anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent personal information to the project, write to hello@compoundfork.com and it will be removed.

Changes to this policy

If what the project collects, why, or who receives it changes, the date at the top of this page will change with it.
