Debt Payoff Calculator

The minimum payment on every debt happens no matter what — that's not actually a choice. The only real decision is where your extra money goes first. This runs both options side by side, so it's a real answer, not a guess.

Extra payments — use whichever apply, or none

Where should your extra money go first?

Every debt still gets its minimum payment either way. This is only about the extra on top.

Two ways to pick, if you're not sure: put the extra toward whichever debt has the highest interest rate — that's mathematically the cheapest path, since it stops the most expensive debt from growing first. Or put it toward whichever debt has the smallest balance — you won't save quite as much, but clearing an entire debt off your plate fast is a real motivator to keep going. Neither is wrong. (If you've seen these called "avalanche" and "snowball" elsewhere, that's the same two things — highest-rate-first and smallest-balance-first, just with names attached.)
